VRSis an independent Classification Society, which performs classification survey and certification activities of the ships and floating objects in compliance with Rules for Classification and Construction of Sea-going Ships. TheRulesfor Classification and Construction of Sea-going Shipsdetermines requirements for Class assignment to the ship. The Class is assigned, maintained or renewed after the satisfactory completion of special survey, initial survey, annual survey, intermediate survey, inspection of outside of ship’s bottom including dry docking survey, propeller shaft survey, in water survey or other Classification surveys depending the type of the vessel.
